This area of practice includes Interstate Adoptions where the adopting party is in a different state from the minor child being  adopted, in state adoptions where both parties are residents of Alabama, and stepparent adoptions.

I handle appeals from the State Criminal and Civil Trials to the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals and the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals.

Bankruptcy

This area of practice includes Chapter 7 (a complete liquidation of all your debts), and Chapter 13 (used by individuals who want to keep their home, car, or other large expense items and can repay a portion or all of their debt but under a structured payment schedule managed by the Court system).

Child Support / Child Visitation / Child Custody / Paternity

This area of practice includes child support modifications for both the custodial and non-custodial parents in modifying the monthly child support payments.  This also includes working with custodial parent in dealing with the non-custodial parent who is behind on child support payments or who refuses to make their child support payments (The Dead Beat Parent).

I work with the non-custodial parents in both obtaining visitation rights with their children and those who wish to obtain custody of their children.
